A reliable custom balloon project is developed in controlled stages. UNDALO uses early structural sampling to confirm shape, inflated size and print position before the customer invests in gravure cylinders and production tooling.
1. Artwork and requirement review
The project begins with artwork, target size, inflation method, destination market, packaging format and expected quantity. Our team checks seals, valves, artwork-safe zones and whether the proposed shape will inflate as intended.
2. Handmade white-film sample
An unprinted sample is cut and heat sealed by hand. After inflation, it reveals the true three-dimensional proportions, balance and usable display size. This low-cost stage helps identify structural issues before permanent tooling is made.
3. Confirm shape, size and print position
The customer reviews the inflated handmade sample. Logos, faces, text and other critical artwork can be marked directly on it to show where the flat design will appear on the curved balloon. Revisions are made before tooling approval.
4. Gravure cylinders and production tooling
After the structure is approved, engraved printing cylinders, heat-sealing tools and cutting moulds are prepared. Changing size, outline or major artwork placement after this stage may require new tooling, so handmade-sample approval is important.
5. Ink matching and machine sampling
Printing inks are mixed to the approved color direction and installed on the gravure press. The printed film is laminated, cured, formed and fitted with the specified valve before pre-production samples are inflated and inspected.
6. Sample approval and mass production
The customer confirms print registration, color direction, wording, inflated dimensions, artwork position and overall appearance. Mass production follows the approved sample and specification.
