Custom size range and maximum mold dimensions
We manufacture custom foil balloons in sizes from 5 to 75 inches. Agree the required dimensions for the selected shape and identify whether measurements refer to the flat or inflated balloon. The conventional number-balloon conversion table does not predict the inflated dimensions of a new custom shape.
The maximum size we can manufacture is 194 × 158 cm, measured before inflation (mold dimensions). This is not the inflated size; the finished inflated dimensions depend on the balloon shape and should be checked on the sample.
Confirmed flat and inflated heights
16 inches flat → approximately 30 cm inflated. 18 inches flat → approximately 35 cm inflated. 32 inches flat → approximately 60 cm inflated.
36 inches flat → approximately 70 cm inflated. 38 inches flat → approximately 80 cm inflated. 40 inches flat → approximately 85 cm inflated.
Why an inch-to-centimetre conversion is not the inflated size
Converting a flat measurement from inches to centimetres only changes the unit. It does not calculate the finished balloon dimensions. During inflation the flat panels form a three-dimensional shape, so the measured flat height and the finished display height are different quantities.
Use the right dimension for the question
Use the measured flat height to identify the listed size. Use the approximate inflated height to plan a display. These values are heights, not diameters or widths. Do not describe a 40 inch flat balloon as 40 inches tall after inflation.
Keep the limits of the size data visible
The confirmed inflated heights are approximate. Agree on flat and inflated widths and dimensional tolerances for the selected design. Do not infer these missing values from a photograph or convert them from the height.
Clarify dimensions shown on customer images
Before purchasing, establish whether a dimension on a photograph refers to the flat balloon or the inflated balloon. Inflation changes the three-dimensional form; a flat height cannot be used as the finished display height. The confirmed size table above is unchanged.
