Testing is part of a larger process
A laboratory report is not the complete EU compliance file. The responsible economic operator must address safety assessment, conformity assessment, technical documentation, declaration of conformity, CE marking, traceability and warnings.
Why retailers may test every order
Brands and retailers may require order-by-order testing, an approved laboratory, pre-shipment inspection and random selection from finished bulk production. Refusing factory-selected samples reduces substitution risk. These are customer controls, not a universal rule for every EU order.
EU results do not automatically cover the US or Japan
Passing an EU program is useful evidence, but the United States and Japan have different laws, standards, labels and documentation. Every destination needs its own compliance review.
Build the test plan before production
Confirm classification, age grading, destination countries, material colors, accessories, packaging and retailer protocols before sampling. Testing representative production materials reduces late surprises.
