Provide the same brief to each supplier. Compare finished dimensions, appearance, inflation method, packing and test results. Keep samples labelled so that specification differences remain visible during evaluation.
Ask how the order is controlled
Request examples of material identification, artwork approval, production checks and packing instructions. Ask how a complaint is traced to the relevant batch and how changes are approved.
Verify the scope of evidence
A company certificate, product test report and shipment inspection answer different questions. Check the legal name, site, scope, date and product reference. Do not infer endorsement from a retailer name appearing in a presentation.
Compare total commercial terms
Compare price against a common specification and make tooling, samples, packing, freight and testing visible. Clarify currency, quote validity, trade terms and payment schedule. Lowest unit price alone does not tell you which quote matches the brief.
Record the decision
Use a review sheet with evidence references, unresolved questions and actions. Request current factory information and supporting documents for review.
