Custom size range and maximum mold dimensions
We manufacture custom foil balloons in sizes from 5 to 75 inches. Agree the required dimensions for the selected shape and identify whether measurements refer to the flat or inflated balloon. The conventional number-balloon conversion table does not predict the inflated dimensions of a new custom shape.
The maximum size we can manufacture is 194 × 158 cm, measured before inflation (mold dimensions). This is not the inflated size; the finished inflated dimensions depend on the balloon shape and should be checked on the sample.
Material and thickness recommendations
PET/PE and PA/PE (Nylon/PE) material structures are available. Our team recommends a suitable material and thickness based on the design, size and customer requirements. Thickness options specified for conventional number balloons remain specific to that range.
Typical custom order minimum
Custom foil balloon orders typically require a minimum of 3,000 pieces. The applicable minimum is confirmed for the project. The existing per-size, per-digit and per-color requirements for conventional number balloons remain applicable to that range.
From idea to approved production
1. Share your idea. Send a creative sketch, reference image or rendering. A finished design is not required; our design team can develop the concept with you.
2. Handmade mock-up development. Our designers create a handmade mock-up to develop the proposed balloon form.
3. Review and refine. Review the handmade mock-up for dimensions, shape and print placement. Request changes or confirm the design before tooling begins.
4. Prepare tooling and printing plates. After mock-up approval, we make the production mold and printing plates.
5. Produce a machine-made sample. We use production equipment to make the pre-production sample for customer review.
6. Approve the pre-production sample. The customer reviews and confirms the sample before bulk production.
7. Bulk production. We manufacture to the approved sample and agreed specifications.
Choose what you want to customize
Develop a new shape, create a printed design or specify a Pantone color reference. Tell us whether the design is new or uses an existing balloon outline. Include the target inflated height and width, and clearly label any flat measurements on your drawing.
Material choices for our conventional number range
For the six conventional number sizes, choose Nylon + PE at 0.028 mm or PET + PE at 0.029, 0.027 or 0.024 mm. Nylon is the higher-quality option at a slightly higher cost. Film below 0.027 mm is available but not recommended. Usual film-thickness tolerance is ±0.001 mm.
These combinations apply to the confirmed conventional number range. Select the material and thickness for each custom design; a photograph alone does not establish its construction.
Minimum quantities for custom numbers
Custom conventional number balloons require 3,000 pieces per size, per digit, per color. Each combination must meet its own minimum. Standard colors that are in stock can be ordered from 50 pieces per size, per digit, per color.
Request the minimum order quantity for your selected design and product family. Include quantities by design, size and color so the quotation addresses your actual assortment.
Sample preparation
New single-color samples: 7 calendar days. New shapes or multicolor-pattern samples: 10 calendar days. Custom packaging samples: 8 calendar days. These are sample-making periods, separate from bulk production and shipping. Confirm the sample schedule when the brief is agreed.
Approve the physical result
Review the inflated shape, dimensions, printed content, color, valve and packaging. A signed physical sample serves as the printing reference. UNDALO compares the first printed output with the reference and checks color and artwork every 20 minutes during bulk printing.
Dispatch timing for the confirmed number program
Custom production normally dispatches in 35 calendar days after both the deposit has been received and the pre-production sample has been approved, counted from the later event. For custom individual packaging, the confirmed dispatch period is 25 calendar days after both deposit receipt and packaging-sample approval.
In-stock standard-color numbers in bulk, without custom packaging, dispatch within 3 calendar days after deposit receipt. These are dispatch periods, not arrival dates. For a different custom product, agree the applicable production schedule in the quotation.
Packaging options for conventional numbers
Bulk: 50 balloons per bag. Individual OPP packing: one balloon, one straw and one color card per bag; six individual packs per outer bag, then cartons. Paper envelope bags can replace OPP bags, and ribbon is available on request.
Carton quantities follow customer requirements. Usual cartons do not exceed 39 × 39 × 59 cm or 15 kg. Specify the required packaging dimensions and contents for each custom design. If you require FSC-certified packaging materials for your balloons, please specify your requirements before placing the order.
